Getting started for shops
ScoutrTCG shows collectors near you what you have in stock and lets them reserve it with a small deposit, so they come in to buy instead of asking “do you have…?”. Listing and reservations are free.
1. Set up your shop (5 minutes)
- ScoutrTCG reaches the App Store and Google Play on December 8. Founding shops set up before then with an early version: we email you a link to install it (Google Play on Android, TestFlight on iPhone). Install it and sign up.
- Go to Account → Vendor tools and fill in your storefront: shop name, address (or “Use my current location”) and your pickup window, how long you'll hold a reserved card (48 hours unless you change it, up to 5 days).
- Founding shops: open the link we sent you on the website and tap Start free Vendor Pro.
2. List your stock
- One card at a time: Inventory → new listing, search for the card, pick the condition and version (Holofoil, 1st Edition…), price and quantity. Sealed products and graded slabs work the same way.
- Scan it: point the camera at the card and the app finds it for you.
- Import a spreadsheet (Vendor Pro): Inventory → Import inventory, with your TCGplayer, ManaBox or Dragon Shield export, or any spreadsheet with card names, conditions, prices and quantities.
- Each listing allows up to 4 per reservation unless you change it, so one person can't tie up all your copies.
3. When a reservation comes in
- You get a notification. Open it and accept or decline within 24 hours (no answer counts as a decline). If the card's gone, decline with I no longer have it and the listing goes to zero.
- After you accept, the collector has 30 minutes to place their deposit, a hold on their card, not a charge. Then the card is theirs until your pickup window ends: set it aside.
4. At pickup
- Ask for their pickup code and scan it: the Reservations tab, then the scan icon at the top. That completes the reservation and releases their deposit hold.
- They pay you for the card as normal, at your counter. The deposit is never part of the price.
5. If they don't come
- 30 minutes after the pickup deadline, Mark no-show appears. Marking it charges their deposit (kept by ScoutrTCG as the missed-pickup fee) and puts the card back on sale.
- If you do nothing, the hold is released after 24 hours, and the card goes back on sale.
6. Keep it fresh
- Confirm your stock at least every 30 days: Inventory → All still in stock. Listings not confirmed for 30 days sit lower in search; after 60 days they disappear until you confirm them. The app reminds you.
- Post your events (draft nights, prereleases, tournaments) so nearby collectors see them: free with Vendor Pro, or $19.99 an event without it.
