A problem with a reservation (a no-show you think is wrong, a card that wasn't as described, a suspected counterfeit) is quickest from the reservation itself in the app, where you can dispute or report it.

Finding cards

How do I find a card near me?

Open the Nearby tab and type the card's name. You'll see the shops and sellers that have it in stock, nearest first. Switch between List and Map; on the map, move around and tap Search this area. To search somewhere else, tap Near: My location and pick a city, town or ZIP code.

What can I type?

Any mix of words from the card's name, set, card number or artist, in any order: charizard base, pikachu 25, umbreon evolving skies, sugimori. Every word has to match something, so if you see nothing, try fewer words. Search covers Pokémon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana and One Piece; pick a game under Filters to narrow it.

Can I narrow the results?

Yes. Filters on Nearby let you choose the game, set, artist and condition, show Graded only slabs, and sort by nearest, price or name.

How do I find Japanese cards?

Search in English. An English Pokémon name also finds that Pokémon's Japanese cards, and many Japanese sets can be found by their English name, such as jolteon eevee heroes.

What about reverse holos, 1st Editions and other versions?

Search for the card itself. Each listing shows its version (Holofoil, Reverse Holofoil, 1st Edition and so on) and its condition, so you can pick the one you want.

How do I find booster boxes, packs and other sealed products?

On Nearby, switch to Sealed and search for the set or the product: surging sparks etb, booster box, commander deck. Newest sets come first.

Can I look up a card without sharing my location?

Yes: on the Dashboard, tap Search the catalog to browse every card in every game, no location needed. Open a card to see who has it nearby when you're ready.

Can the app tell me when a card turns up?

With Collector Pro, yes. Tap Save search on Nearby, or Add to want list on a card, and we'll send a notification when a shop near you lists it, plus a daily summary.

Why can't I see the price on some listings?

Some shops hide the price and quantity of expensive cards until you ask. Tap Tap to see price & quantity on the listing to see them.

I still can't find it

Check the spelling, try fewer words, or search a wider area. Shops only list what they have in stock, so a card nobody near you has won't appear; with Collector Pro, a saved search tells you the moment it does.

For collectors

How does reserving work?

Find a card near you and send a request. Nothing is charged and the card stays on sale until the shop accepts. Shops have 24 hours to answer; no answer counts as a decline.

What is the deposit?

Once the shop accepts, you have 30 minutes to place a small deposit, usually $5 an item (a shop can set its own, between $3 and $50). It's a hold on your card, not a charge. You pay for the card itself at the shop, as normal.

How do I pick up?

Go to the shop before the pickup deadline shown in the app (set by the shop, never more than five days away) and show your pickup code. When the shop scans it, the hold on your card is released and you're not charged anything for the reservation.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time before pickup, free, from the reservation in the app. If you cancel two accepted reservations within 30 days, the app asks for a reason the next time. If the card doesn't match its listing when you see it, cancel with “condition didn't match”: it doesn't count against you.

What if I can't make it?

Cancel in the app. If you simply don't turn up, the shop can mark a no-show 30 minutes after the deadline, and only then is the deposit charged. If the shop does nothing within 24 hours, the hold is released. You can dispute a no-show you think is wrong; we review every dispute ourselves.

Why can I only hold one card at a time?

Without Collector Pro you can have one accepted reservation at a time, so nobody ties up several shops' stock at once. Collector Pro removes the limit and adds saved searches, restock alerts, price history and collection tracking.

Is it safe to buy from a private seller?

Private sellers must be 18 or older and show only a ZIP code; the meeting place is agreed once they accept. Meet somewhere public, check the card before you show your code, and never pay before you've met. The app warns you if a message asks for payment ahead or moves the conversation elsewhere.

For shops

New to ScoutrTCG? Start with Getting started for shops, a one-page guide you can print.

What does it cost?

Listing and taking reservations are free. Vendor Pro ($29.99 a month, or $299.99 a year) adds a verified badge, boosted reach, featured placement, inventory analytics, spreadsheet import, your own deposit amount and free event posting (without it, hosting an event is .99).

Do I get the deposit when someone doesn't show?

No. A charged deposit is kept by ScoutrTCG as a fee for the missed pickup. It's there so collectors turn up; the card goes back on sale for you either way.

Why are some of my listings lower in search?

Listings you haven't confirmed in 30 days sit lower and say when stock was last checked; after 60 days they leave search until you confirm them. One tap on All still in stock in Inventory confirms everything.

How do I manage or cancel Vendor Pro?

Account → Manage subscription opens Stripe's secure page, where you can update your card, switch to yearly, see invoices or cancel. Cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
